Konnichiwa! Welcome to the Sugoi Japanese Blog! This blog is a place for people who are studying, want to learn, or even just curious about the Japanese language. I myself, fit in the "studying" category, and still have a long way to go in terms of becoming fluent in the language. My very first language was English, which is quite different from Japanese. I'm no expert in the language, but I'm hoping that creating this blog will help me learn it better through teaching what I know in the blog posts, and also help you, the readers,  learn some new information as well.

 

      My main goal for this blog is to create a community where everyone can connect and help each other and share their tips/ideas about the language so that it can become an interactive place to learn Japanese.

      

      I post every week on Wednesdays. I cover different topics and also some new vocabulary in every post. Feel free to leave comment and point out any mistakes, suggestions or things you want to learn more about.

 

     "Sugoi" (すごい)  means something along the lines of "wow!" or "amazing!", and when combined with the word Japanese, means something like "Wow! Japanese!". I'm hoping that when you read the blog, you will also find yourself saying "wow!" or "sugoi!" and be just as fascinated with the language as I am.
